Obituary of Edwald George Bruyn

Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the age of 72.

George is survived by his loving wife Maria for 35 years. Fondly remembered by Maria’s daughter Jennifer Haslett and her husband Paul Wright and their son Sam. Cherished brother of Domi (Karen) and Ron (Sue), brother-in-law of Brenda Bruyn. Predeceased by his parents Wilhelmina (nee DeReus) and Dominicus Bruyn, dear brother of Eleanor (Al) and Reg.

George retired from the Waterloo Regional Police Services after serving the residents of Waterloo Region for 27 years. He began his policing in 1973 as a Constable. 

Special thanks to Dr MacEachern, Dr Alfonzo Michelangeli and the nursing staff at Grand River Hospital for all the care given to George. Your care and compassion will not be forgotten.

Cremation has taken place.  A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
