Mrs. McKenna, (I always called her Mrs. McKenna) was a big part of my life growing up in Schomberg. I was close friends with Neil and Stephen. I spent a lot of time either at their house on the 17th side road or up at the cottage. With a large family of five boys and Shannon there was always something going on. There was hockey in the basement where lights and windows got broken, boxing matches using hockey helmets and gloves or even Stephan’s home made rockets. Mrs McKenna never seemed to mind and always made me feel welcome. Mr and Mrs McKenna were great friends with my parents and they spent a lot of time together which meant our families were together also. It was all ways fun.
I know that everyone that knew Mrs. McKenna will miss her, but over time the fond memories with her will far outweigh their loss.
Rest in peace Mrs McKenna, you were a positive influence on so many lives
