Obituary of Grantley Douglas Clarke

It is with immense sadness that the family of Grantley Clarke announce his passing on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the age of 76.

Husband to Lise Clarke (nee Vincent) married for 43 years.  Father to Douglas Clarke and Cory Clarke (Corrin). Beloved grandfather to Coralie and Arlo. Cherished uncle, brother-in-law and friend. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

Grant was born in Barbados and immigrated to Quebec where he met Lise. A dedicated worker, Grant was a talented electrician who continued to work until he was no longer able. This work ethic served his family well and made him a popular “go to guy” in his community to fix everything from televisions to vacuum cleaners and beyond. A skilled foreman in the machining industry, Grant was able to travel and teach his trade to workers overseas.

A loving father and grandfather, he was rarely without a smile and personified the easy-going island spirit which made him a friend to many.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Sidewalk Community Center (All Saints Anglican Church) 400 Northfield Drive, Waterloo on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
