I remember Nancy as vibrant, creative and glamorous, with a clear focus on her family. She and John demonstrated their care for family and even extended family when they travelled to Winnipeg a few years ago to support Allan's mom's funeral. It was heartwarming to have them there. Many of us took the same flight back to Toronto where there was a blizzard brewing. The Overgaard boys were in a hurry to get out of the airport and on the road, and with their long legs they took off down the hallways, with the Rileys and myself valiantly trying to keep up. We all managed to get a ride home. Deepest condolences to the family.

Janice and Family: Your mother was iconic. She could have been called the Canadian version of Martha Stewart. Truly inspiring as a cook and hostess, with never with a hair out of place. She always stayed beautiful, no matter what. I am lucky enough to have some of her recipes. I will continue to use them and keep her in my thoughts. I send my condolences to all your family. Her presence will certainly leave a big void in the family circle.
