Brian and Terri, Mike and Nick, we are so sorry for your loss. We loved Merle! Emma and I were especially remembering the visit she made with you when we lived in North Carolina. She 'bunked in' with wee 5 year old Emma with the warmest heart of a kid having a sleepover. All of our times that included her benefited from her easy, caring manner. She was always game for anything.
May her memory be a blessing, and comfort as you mourn and remember her. Ted and Val, James and Emma.
