Obituary of Alfred Charles Meadows

Passed away at his Waterloo residence with family by his side after a long and productive life, at the age of 91 years.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Georgina (“Gene”) McNamara, and his first wife, Barbara Meadows.

Al will be missed by his daughter Kathleen Meadows (Erich Rock), and his son Gregory Meadows, and by his sister-in-law Laura Meadows of Saskatchewan.  He was also loved by his stepchildren Leslie Ann McNamara (Bruce Vanderkleyn) of Southampton and Myles Glenn McNamara (Kasia) of Etobicoke. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Sean (Pam), Lee (Natalie), and Kara Martin (Rory), Taylor (Brianne), Konner, Shaelyn (Justin) and Aden McNamara, and Elizabeth Vanderkleyn. Al will also be fondly remembered by his travelling companion Julia McNamara, his neighbours from Susan Crescent in Kitchener, and his friends at Rockway Seniors Centre, where he volunteered for 30 years.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Al with his family during a memorial reception at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo, on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Remembrances of Al will take place at 12:00 p.m.
