Survived by his loving wife Joan, his two daughters Terry Ann Gamble (Murray) and Kelly Lee Sintnicolaas, his grandchildren Haley Gamble and Jaxon Burke, his brother Arnold Sintnicolaas (Elizabeth) and sister Emily Eyre (Malcolm).
Predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Johanna Sintnicolaas, his brother Gus Sintnicolaas, half-brother Joop Sintnicolaas and his sister Cynthia Shadwell.
Adrian was born in Shertogenbosch, a city in the Netherlands and immigrated to Toronto in 1957. He married Joan Richardson in 1959. They started a family in 1960 and later moved to the Barrie area to be with their extended family where they would spend the majority of their lives, only recently moving to a retirement home in Kitchener. Prior to moving to Kitchener, they spent 5 happy years in Sandy Cove Acres, a retirement village in Innisfil. Adrian worked from a young age at a variety of jobs including working for Rothmans in Toronto for several years. He later joined Scollard Maintenance, a cleaning company, of which he became the manager and eventually owner. In his semi-retirement he was a delivery driver, which allowed him to meet many people and was as much a pleasure as it was work. Along with his wife they were members of St. John Vianney Parish in Barrie Ontario, and he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed music, spending time with family and playing and watching golf. He learned to play the piano as an adult and was tickled pink with his Hammond Organ which he spent many hours playing.
Adrian will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor and commitment to his family whom he dearly loved.
Special thanks to the staff at Conestoga Retirement Lodge, Hospice Waterloo Region and Dr. Yew.
