Obituary of Christopher Arthur Dettweiler
It is with great sadness that the family of Chris Dettweiler announce his unexpected and accidental passing on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the age of 35.
Cherished son of Arthur (Art) and Debbie Dettweiler. Beloved brother of Brent Dettweiler and his fiancé Jenna Rolfe. He will be lovingly remembered by his aunts and uncles, Allan Dettweiler (Violeta), Esther Snyder (Dave), Doris Gingerich (Floyd), Ron Dettweiler, Janet Charette, Wes Dettwiler (Jan), Charlene Bruce (Tom) and Andrea Freund (Dennis). Chris will be deeply missed by many cousins especially those that were like siblings, Kyle Hudson, Heather Snyder and Serena Gingerich. Also remembered by his special friend, Amanda Beaton.
Chris was a master electrician and joint business owner with his good friend Scott Muir of Arthur Electric in Rockwood. In his spare time, he found much joy fishing with Scott, Kyle and Jimmy, golfing with Chris Gavin and playing darts with his Uncle Floyd. He was a member of Breslau Mennonite Church.
Memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, August 27th and Thursday, August 29th at the family property by the river from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and from 6:30-8:30 p.m. A memorial service will take place at Breslau Mennonite Church, 226 Woolwich St., Breslau on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. A reception will follow the service. A private family interment will take place at Breslau Mennonite Cemetery at a later date.
Chris was a caring person with a generous heart.
