Obituary of Judith Jane Cash
Judy Cash of Waterloo, Ontario, passed away peacefully at the Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital (GRH) in Kitchener on August 24, 2024, aged 87 years.
Judy was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She lived all her adult life in Kitchener-Waterloo. She attended Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate and The University of Western Ontario. In her earlier years she was a member of the Kitchener Philharmonic Choir, The Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire, and the K-W Garden Club. She was also a tutor for the Laubach Literacy Organization of Ontario and a member of Forest Hill United Church.
Beloved wife to John Lowell Cash of Waterloo for 66 years. Dear mother of David Cash (Carol Boyce) of St. George, Ontario; Julie Witmer (Scott) of Wellesley, Ontario; Perry Cash (Tammy Rieck) of Kitchener, Ontario; and James Cash (Julie Spence) of Mississauga, Ontario. Grandmother of seven grandchildren: Laura Woods, Michael Witmer, Aileen Cash, Erin and Cameron Cash, Leah and Olivia Cash. Great grandmother to seven great grandchildren: Simon and Caleb Woods, Jacob Witmer, William and Henry Stewart, Malcolm and Nora Robinson. Stepdaughter of Myrtle Small of Kitchener, Ontario.
Predeceased by her parents Alice (nee Reid) and J. Douglas Small.
The family would like to thank Judy’s care team, including Dr. Erinn Owens, the staff at Hygate on Lexington, and at the Freeport Campus of GRH. There will be a private reception at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and interment will follow the reception for immediate family at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo, Ontario.
