Irene “Nora” Cleasby
1926 - 2024
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 at The Village of Winston Park in her 98th year.
Nora is now reunited with her husband Allan. Loving mother of Diane Bandura, adored grandmother of Kyle Bandura.
Survived by her sisters-in-law Linda (the late Glen), and Dawn (the late Lorne) and brothers-in-law Dennis and Don Riemens (the late Yvonne).
Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Annie Richards, her brothers and sisters Jack and Amy Richards, Hilda Fenton, Herbert Richards, Elsie Brezina and by her in-laws Robert and Ethel Cleasby, Renee and Dave Wismer, Bob and Gerry Cleasby, Bernice and George Zahra, Lorraine and Bill Lee, Lucille Olinski, and Elwood Cleasby.
Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Nora came to Canada in 1952 and got a job at Burns Meats where she met Allan, they married and had their daughter Diane. Nora adored her grandson Kyle and spent many hours watching him play sports. She had many friends and was well known for her wit and humour. Nora and Allan loved to travel and play cards with friends and family. She was also a dedicated volunteer of Canadian Food for Children and spent many hours knitting sweaters, hats and mitts for them.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, September 20th from 10-11am. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 11am followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room.
Interment will be held at Parkview Cemetery.
