Karan “Dave” Prasad

May 11, 1951 – September 22, 2024

It's with heavy hearts and a smile on our faces that we remember Karan “Dave” Prasad, who passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, surrounded by family at St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 73 years.

Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mina, his children, Shivani (Garfield), Michael and Andrea and his shining stars Adrian, Hezekiah, Amiyah and Sasha.

Predeceased by his father, Walter Prasad, mother, Nanky Mungroo, sister, Kalowatie Kalamandeen.

He was a mighty man of God who walked by faith. He faithfully served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ throughout his entire life. This was demonstrated through preaching, teaching and showing the love of God daily. He exemplified his servanthood through serving on the board of directors at his place of worship, leading bible studies, and opening up his home as a place of prayer.

Dave was a dedicated husband who was inseparable from his wife. He was a perfect example of what a father and grandfather should be, loving, gentle, supportive, kind, and patient.

Well done, good and faithful servant you have left a legacy that will live on forever. Your family will continue to carry the torch.

Special thanks to the medical team at St. Mary’s Hospital, our church family at Hopewell Worship Centre, the Taki and Prasad family who have supported us consistently through this difficult season.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 am followed by interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.  A livestream and recording of the service will made available on Dave’s tribute page at www.erbgood.com
