My condolences to the family. Phil was a good friend to so many, including our parents, Sam and Mary Anne. Decades of kindness, humour and loyalty. Phil called my dad pretty much every day and was a great friend to our mom after our dad died. I always remember when my parents arrived at my house in Ottawa one holiday after driving from Waterloo. Within minutes, the phone rang. It was Phil. It was not surprising. He was a constant presence in their lives and will be missed.

As a kid growing up I lived right across the street from the Rason's. I baby sat Cam, Shiela, and Gail many times. After baby sitting when Mr Rason got home he always paid me more than I was expecting (nothing would have been fine). We used to run all over the 10th hole in our bathing suits during a rain storm and slid down the hill on our stomachs. I remember Mr Rason and I driving up to the cottage on a Friday night.
