Tracey Diane Lopers passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on October 5th, 2024, at the age of 60.
Tracey will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Ron Lopers. A cherished mother that will be missed by her children: Nick Lopers (Marissa Thompson) and Taylor Parker (Jamie Parker); grandchildren: Levi and Fallon Parker. Dear Daughter of Bruce Owers (Helen) and the late Beverly Owers and will be remembered by her mother-in-law Anne Lopers (the late Hank Lopers). Dear Sister of Kristyn Owers and Wendy Owers (Jim Gray). She will remain in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and members of WMB Church. Tracey will be remembered as a great wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Tracey grew up in Kitchener, graduating from Mohawk and Athabasca University. She was a proud Professor of Supply Chain and Operations Management for 25 years; she spent that time advocating for student success and academic integrity. In the summertime, Tracey spent her time in nature, especially enjoying camping and hiking. Her greatest achievement was hiking the entire Bruce Trail. A broken wrist and hip replacement didn’t stop her.
Tracey had a strong faith that was especially seen through her servant heart. She was always first to offer a helping hand. She was well known for her delicious soup and meals and especially enjoyed cooking at Conestoga Bible Camp. Tracey has made an impact on so many people in their lives through teaching, hiking groups, membership at the YMCA, APICS, WMB Church, and all the other groups and associations she was a part of.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nadia Califaretti and the entire team at the Grand River Cancer Center for supports over the years.
