Andrew Jacob Tubb passed away suddenly and surrounded by family following a brief illness on October 21st, 2024, at the age of 35.

Andrew was born in Waterloo County and enjoyed many sports and travels growing up. The senior year trip to China was a highlight of attending Rockway Mennonite Collegiate. As a lifelong student, Andrew’s insatiable curiosity and creativity were evident in so many ways.  Notable accomplishments include his degree in Sociology from McMaster and an Honours Degree in Labour Studies from Brock University. He learned about Buddhism while at McMaster, reading extensively and joining meditation groups whenever possible. He recently joined a small group in London.

He approached life as a free spirit, inspiring those around him with his enthusiasm for social justice and his commitment to making the world a better place. When he wasn’t exploring new music and art, Andrew could be found on the picket lines being a voice for workers' rights or volunteering for various organizations. Ambient photography, mixing scents to invent new colognes, and dried flower/plant arrangements were among his creative hobbies.

Andrew will be dearly missed by his mother Erika Tubb, his twin brother Steven Tubb (Cassandra), his favourite nephew Jacob, who was lovingly named after him. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Andrew was predeceased by his father, Jim Tubb in 2018, his Opa and Oma, George and Annie Eitzen, and his grandparents Dudley and Irene Tubb.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, October 28th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room.

A livestream and recording of the service will be made available on Andrew’s tribute page at www.erbgood.com
