Obituary of Debra Lee MacMillan

With her kids by her side, Debra MacMillan passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the age of 69.

Debra is survived by her children, Colleen (Michael) and Brad (Cassandra); her four beautiful grandchildren Mackenzie, Lucas, Olivia and Logan; her brother Patrick (Linda) as well as many other family and friends including her best friend of over 50 years, Isabel. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Dawnna McGuire, and Harold and Rosalie MacMillan.

‘Debbie’ will be remembered for her sarcastic sense of humour, genuine personality, infectious smile, and her giving nature. She loved to read, listen to Garth Brooks and spent all year planning for her favourite season, Christmas. Her thoughtfulness meant that she never missed sending a birthday card to every family member, including her long list of nieces and nephews.

Colleen and Brad would like to express gratitude to Dr. Needham-Nethercott, Shannon, and the entire team at Grand River Hospital ICU-A. Thank you for your professionalism, compassion, and support over the last three months.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Charcoal Steakhouse, 2980 King St. E, Kitchener, on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
