Obituary of Alexander "Alex" Edward Behr
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Behr, age 32, on November 12th, 2024 at home. Alex was a beloved brother, son, cousin, uncle and friend who touched the lives of everyone he knew with kindness, love, and an enduring spirit.
Born on April 14th, 1992, and raised in Kitchener, Alex was the son of Klaus and Mary Behr. Alex, his twin sister Katrina and their older brother Matthew (wife Samantha and daughter Lily) kept their parents’ hands full and had a wonderful childhood together.
Alex had a passion for sports and video games but he especially enjoyed a round of 18, football, bike riding and going to the gym. He was a lifelong Boston Bruins fan. He was known for making everyone around him laugh, his generosity and his selflessness.
Alex is survived by his Grandparents, Ursula (Oma) and Emil (Opa) Behr and Joan Powers (Grandmother). Also his many Aunts and Uncles Rob and Joanne Powers, Pat and Leanne Powers, Ted and Tunde Powers, Debbie and John Powers, Petra and Jim Miller and Cousins.
Alex was preceded in death by his Grandfather Ted Powers and his best friends Grant Eisenporth, Jacob Traplin, Ray Friolet and Josh Zuurhoud as well as his Great Aunt Audrey Seifried.
Alex was the kind of person who loved deeply, without hesitation. He put everyone else first- his family, his friends and anyone who mattered to him, especially his cousin Ben with whom he shared a lot of great times with. He carried that love with him everywhere, even when it meant he’d put his own needs aside. He never wanted to disappoint the people he cared about. In his eyes, their happiness was his happiness, and their pain was his pain. He’d sacrifice anything, even a part of himself, to make sure those he loved felt seen and valued.
