Obituary of John "Jack" Wesley McCrory

It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of John (Jack) McCrory.  He passed away with family at his side, peacefully on Nov 20^th. 

Loving husband to Barb, stellar father to Steve (Tammy) & Brian (Sandi), adoring Grandpa to Stuart (Karlee), Patrick (Lynsey), Kieran, Samantha, and Great  Grandfather to Jack. He was adored by his sister Pauline Hoskin.

Throughout the years, John has created many business ventures including the GTO gas station brand.  He was a man of integrity, kindness and generosity and this was noticed by anyone who met him.  He was well known for his quick wit, sense of humour, and arsenal of pranks. He always enquired about the lives of others.  He will be sorely missed by so many. 

Special thanks go to Dr Dicu, Dr Harlick,  Dr Rinne, Dr Wijayanayanka,  & Dr Howell. These physicians went above and beyond in so many ways and were exemplary.  The support of the St Mary’s Heart Function Clinic, and the Palliative Care Team, along with the staff at Hospice Waterloo Region enhanced John’s quality of life immensely.   

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, November 25^th from 4 – 7pm.  The funeral service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at on Tuesday, November 26^th, 2024 at 11am followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room
