Obituary of Nancy Elizabeth Heeley
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mom, and gramma Nancy Elizabeth Heeley (Nee Heuchan). Nancy was a bright and energetic woman with a heart of gold. She spent her life in her favourite places; in her garden in Kitchener or by the beach of her Cottage in Sauble, where she scored many holes-in-one golfing and mini golfing. She took pride in her photography business and lived a life of humility and hard work. Her awe and appreciation of nature was reflected in her love of scuba diving, and she spent every summer in the lake. She rescued birds and animals of all kinds who were injured in the dunes of the cottage property.
She encouraged everyone to be their best and always stood up for what was right. Nancy loved her family deeply and cared for others in a way that most don't.
First and foremost, she loved and was loved by her husband Don, of 38 years, who was her best friend.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters Amy (Pat) and Mindy (Gary). She was cherished and loved by her grandchildren, Madison, Lauren, Marcus, and Emma, who held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her siblings Fred (Anita) and Marilyn.
She is predeceased by her parents, Norm and Shirley, and her brother, Tommy.
The family is holding a private celebration of life.
Condolences for the family may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo at 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com
A light went out on Earth for me
The day we said goodbye
And on that day a star was born,
The brightest in the sky
Reaching through the darkness
With its rays of purest white
Lighting up the Heavens
As it once lit up my life
With beams of love to heal
The broken heart you left behind
Where always in my memory
Your lovely star will shine
