Obituary of Cassandra Angie Shirley Marquis
Cassandra Angie Shirley Marquis, born November 4, 1994, passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2024, at the age of 30. From her very first moments, Cassandra showed a unique spirit, arriving so swiftly that she was born at home with the assistance of her Aunt Shirley.
As a child, Cassandra was full of energy and determination. She was a natural athlete with a particular passion for basketball, often turning the living room into her personal court. You would often find her wearing a basketball jersey and shorts. Her rambunctious nature filled her childhood home with joy and kept her family on their toes. Cassandra had a deep love for animals, always caring for them and finding joy in their companionship. Cassandra touched many lives with her kind heart. She aspired to become a nurse, driven by a desire to help others. Those close to her will fondly remember her insistence that no dinner was complete without potatoes, a quirk that endeared her to many.
Cassandra is survived by her older brother and sister, JJ and Lynn, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Diane.
