Obituary of Anne Schoen

Anne Schoen (Mueller), 96, of Waterloo, Ontario, passed away on December 27, 2024, in Waterloo.

Anne was born in 1928, in Katzendorf, Romania as the youngest of four children. She came to Toronto in May of 1957 where she met her husband Henry. They were married in August of 1960. She stayed home to raise Michael, then worked at Food Services at the University of Waterloo. She and Henry spent their retirement at the cottage.

She enjoyed baking cookies at Christmas time, and had a monthly canasta game with friends for many years.

Anne is survived by her son Michael, his wife Sandy, and her grandchildren Christopher and Rachel, all from Guelph. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Luther Village for their assistance and care for Anne in her final years.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 1pm, with the funeral service to follow at 2pm in the funeral home’s chapel. Interment to be scheduled later.
