Obituary of S. Helen McAvoy

McAVOY, Sarah Helen (nee Hancock) Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on October 7, 2011 at the Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener at the age of 93. Cherished mother of Dan (Bonnie) and Jane Worboys. Loved grandma of Wendy (Tim) McLean, Cathie McAvoy, Paul (Tiffany) McAvoy, Sharon (Peter) Miller, Brad Worboys and Lisa Worboys. Proud great-grandma of 7. Dear sister of Geoffrey Hancock, Eric (Lynn) Hancock and Janet (Jack) Stark. Predeceased by her beloved husband Charles (1977). Friends are invited to share their memories of Helen with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, October 12 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, October 13 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow.
