Obituary of Thomas Fitzgerald

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Tom, following a lengthy struggle with several illnesses, at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph. He leaves behind his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Maureen, his two daughters Linda and Susan, son Jeff (Stephanie), nephew Dr. Richard Norman (Diana) and many dear and close friends who helped us during this trying time. He was predeceased by his parents, sister, and niece. Tom received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. He spent the majority of his career working for the University of Waterloo in the Co-operative Education Department where he enjoyed working with the students. Sincere thanks to all the hospital staff who cared for Tom in his time of need and to Dr. John Sehl, who was always very supportive. Following Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place.
