Obituary of Joseph Miehm

Passed away following a brief illness, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the age of 33 years, just days short of his 6th wedding anniversary. Joe is the loving husband of Jennifer, precious son of Doug and Dilys Miehm of Kitchener, son-in-law of Joe and Roseanne Schalk, brother-in-law of Adam (Alysia) and uncle to Zachary all of St. Catharines. He will be remembered by his uncles and aunts, Bev (Bob) Majaury, godfather Dave Kube and his wife Carol and godmother Lorene Hay all of Kitchener. Also survived by his cousins Jeff Kube, Chris (Amy) Kube and Todd and Nicky Majaury. Joe was predeceased by his siblings in infancy Alexander and Melanie as well as his grandparents. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to their family for the tremendous support, Pastor Nancy Kelly and the entire church family of St. Mark's, spiritual care of Grand River Hospital, especially Rev. John Lougheed and Debbie Hansen-Coulombe, the doctors and nurses of I.C.U. (the angels), particularily Vicky and Maggie as well as Lauren, Shelly and the extended Nordia family. Friends are invited to share their memories of Joe with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home on Thursday, November 3rd from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 825 King St. W., Kitchener on Friday, November 4 at 11:00 am with Rev. Nancy Kelly officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Cremation will have taken place and a private family interment will be held in the future.
