Obituary of Doris Bolender
Born June 17, 1922 in Kitchener, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011. Third daughter of William and Olive Moyer, she married Gordon Bolender in 1945 and served alongside Gordon in Nigeria from 1946-1960 with United Missionary Society (forerunner of EMCC World Partners).
Predeceased by her husband in 2002, her parents, two sisters Marjorie Funk and Ruby Sider and brother Bill Moyer.
Survived by Mark and Karen Bolender of Medicine Hat, David and Jackie Bolender of Windsor, Merla Bolender of Edmonton, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A faithful member of Bethany EMC, Kitchener for many years and latterly of Country Hills EMC, Kitchener, she loved her Lord and her family
Mrs. Bolender's family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, November 6, 2011 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.
A private family interment will take place Monday, November 7, 2011 at Woodland Cemetery.
Friends are invited to a memorial service to celebrate her life and faith in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 11 am.
A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
