Obituary of Gladys Crawford

Passed away peacefully at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Saturday November 5, 2011, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Ken, married for 60 years. Loving mother of James and Sandra (Dave) Dewalt, of Calgary; dear grandmother of Jenna Dewalt, Chris Crawford and Hope Jasny; cherished great-grandmother of Jessie Crawford. Will be fondly remembered by nieces Sharon Grose, Brenda Demeuleneare and Sheila Schneider; 2 great-nieces and 7 great-nephews. Predeceased by her brother Claude Schneider and Esther Salm. Gladys was a very active member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting with the church's quilting club, card playing, camping and spent many hours gardening where she enjoyed her flowers (gladiolus). Ken and Gladys spent 35 years of their married life enjoying square dancing and round dancing. Friends are invited to share their memories of Gladys with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday November 9, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 248 Highland Rd. E., Kitchener on Thursday, November 10th at 1 pm, with Rev. Bill Shafer officiating. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens, Breslau. A reception will follow the interment in the church hall.
