Obituary of Susan Kyle
Passed away, peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Thursday, November 17, 2011.
Loving wife of Rod Kyle of Kitchener; caring mother of Philip of Kitchener and Tom and his wife Izumi of Toronto; and extraordinary grandma of Ben and Kiyomi. Survived by her sister, Mary Perraton and husband David of Edmonton.
Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Nora (Holroyd) Hislop.
Susan was a graduate of the Atkinson School of Nursing at Toronto Western Hospital in 1965 and nursed in British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Germany. Susan had the privilege to live and travel in many places in Canada and abroad, cherishing lasting friendships. She loved to entertain and correspond with her wide circle of friends and welcomed new friends into her life at every opportunity. Susan volunteered herself in a variety of local community causes, including special memories of the YMCA Host program assisting recent immigrants. She will be remembered for her extreme generosity and endless loved.
The Kyle family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, November 18 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the service in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room.
