Phyllis had a wonderful sensitivity for others. Even when communicating became difficult, she found a way to express herself. Watching on television a one-sided US Open Tennis Women's Final, the others of us were selfishly bemoaning the lack of interest. Phyllis recognized that we were lucky: we had not paid a fortune for a ticket to actually attend the event!

Dear Younger Family, I am very sorry to hear of the death of Phyllis (who was always Mrs. Younger to me). I remember fondly spending time at the Younger house playing with Kirsten. She was always so pleasant and kind and I remember her beautiful smile. I can only send you hugs since I won't be able to attend the visitation or funeral. zetty abbott
