Obituary of Marybeth Hess

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Marybeth Frances Hess (Beam) with her family by her side on December 8, 2011 at Hospice Wellington in her 68th year. Beloved wife of Douglas J. Hess. Dear mother of Lisa Wilson (Robert) and David Hess (Gillian). Loving grandmother of Abigail Wilson. Marybeth was predeceased by her son Daniel, her parents Loretta and Eden and her brother David. She will be sadly missed by her sister Judy Longeway, her brother Patrick Beam and his wife Lynda and other relatives of the Beam, Hess and Wilson families. Marybeth wishes to acknowledge her circle of precious friends who stood by her during her long courageous battle with cancer. Marybeth's family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2-5 p.m. and on Monday, December 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 11 a. m. at St. Michael's RC Church 240 Hemlock St., Waterloo with Rev. Cornelius J. O'Mahoney as Celebrant. Cremation will follow. A reception will take place in the church hall following the funeral mass. The family extends its thanks to the many dedicated doctors, nurses and support staff who cared for her. Marybeth touched everyone with her smile, realism, sense of humour and kind words. She believed that love never dies. She died as she lived.
