Obituary of Howard Geffros

Bud's family announces his sudden passing, after a brief illness, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Sunday, December 18, 2011 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Elaine (nee Fries) for 65 years. Bud's sense of humour and support will be greatly missed by his children, Dianne McGuire (Frank), Yvonne (Bonnie) Riehl (Bob), and Brian Geffros (Elizabeth). He will be fondly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and the many friends who became part of his family. Bud is also survived by his sister-in-law, Madeline Geffros. Predeceased by his brothers, Doug, Glenn, and Bob (Theo). Bud served overseas in the RCAF during the Second World War, and retired from B.F. Goodrich at the age of 65 after many years of dedicated service. He will be remembered for his ingenuity and unique problem solving skills. Bud's family will receive friends and family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, December 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Bud's life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jack Paleczny officiating. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
