Obituary of Robert McNulty
Passed away January 12, 2012 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 92.
Survived by wife Catherine, sons Brian (Linda), Patrick (Joan), sister-in-law Eileen Panasuk (Alexander), grandchildren Cris (Ken), Ron (Sage) Steven, Shawn, step grandchildren Samantha Jowett (Dan), Matt Jowett (Sarah), Shannon Barnsley (Philip), Erin Morgan (Chris), Alex LeBlanc (Anna), and great grandchildren Brandon, Miranda, Nathan, Baylee and Tanner. He will be greatly missed by friend Harry and his many friends at the Terrace on the Square.
Dad was a career soldier serving with the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion during the Second World War and the R.C.R. 2nd Battalion in Korea (awarded the "MID"). After many postings, he ended his career at the Victoria St. Armories in Kitchener. In retirement, he worked at Wilfrid Laurier University and served on its first Board of Governors. Dad was blessed with both wit and wisdom. He was a philosopher, a story teller and a kind man who found good in everyone he met.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E. Waterloo on Tuesday January 17, 2012 at 11 am with Rev. Christopher Buda, CR as celebrant. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
