Obituary of Margaret McCarthy

On Sunday, January 15, 2012 Margaret died peacefully in her 99th year, just a few weeks away from reaching her 100th birthday. Her family would like to thank the St. Mary's staff on the 5th floor for their compassion and care during Margaret's last days. Margaret is predeceased by her husband, Dennis Paul McCarthy (1907-1980), her siblings Earl Burleigh, Violet Schippling, Janet Dode, and Ella Williams and her grandson Paul Rumble (1967 - 1994), all of whom she loved unconditionally. She will be sadly missed by her five children to whom she devoted her entire life - Janet Tait (Ralph), Dennis McCarthy (Sharon), Colleen Rumble, Mary McCarthy and Maureen McCarthy. She was the most loving grandmother to Mark Rumble (Christine),Paul Rumble, Patrick (Tracy) and Kelly McCarthy and her love ran deep for her great-grandchildren who kept her "young" - Tom and Annie Rumble and Aidan and Morgan McCarthy. Margaret will be greatly missed by all. God speed and much love from deep within our hearts. There will be a private family service at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo.
