It's difficult to realize that a year has passed since Marcia left us. I still think of her as alive and in our presence. I was looking at my picture albums today and she was part of so may family celebrations and such a warm lively presence. I will always remember her that way. Tom,Jordan,Stephen- I am thinking of all of you today too and know someone so special is missing in your lives.

My friendship with Marcia began at Rice Lake
many years ago. It was a fun and sharing time. We often took walks into the Village, sharing ideas about life
and enjoying the beauty of our surroundings.
I often visited her in Kingston, with our mutual friend Nancy. I remember the healthy and delicious meals that Marcia always prepared and the tours of the city that Marcia enjoyed showing us. We always had a great time!
Marcia was a caring, giving and hopeful person about life's challenges. The last time I saw her, in the Fall, she was busy making plans for the family that was the most
important and dear thing to her.

Our Canadian Cousin was special. We enjoyed good times with her and Tom. She showed us the beauty of Kingston. She will be missed. Without her we would not know about Woodenhead. The first and only time we attended a Barmitsva at a City Hall was with Marsha.

The last time Marcia and I chatted, in mid-December, she talked at length about the joy that Tom and her "children" bring to her life, and was concerned to boost Tom's feelings. My dear friend of nearly 24 years duration has always focused on those she loves, and brought such strength to each of us. Marcia contributed so much to my life, personally and professionally. And shared so well the joys of parenthood and forging a very special marital relationship with her beloved Tom. Tom, thank you so much for bringing such joy to my dear friend. When we 'discovered' our Canadian cousin and her family, our lives were enriched. Marcia was a warm, intelligent full of life woman who dealt with her own disappointments and life's negatives with courage and humor. There is great solace in knowing that Tom and Marcia were soulmates. They blessed each other greatly with sharing their love, their children and all the joys that come with being an integrated family. Marcia has left a legacy of courage and faith. No matter the circumstances that happened in their short marriage, they were committed to each other. There is great sadness is saying farewell to each other. I met Marcia in July 1990 at Clive Shepherd's birthday BBQ. We became fast friends. It was Marcia who I phoned when I wanted someone to hang out with, for hikes at Jones Falls and on Wellesley Island. It was Marcia who Clive and I teamed up with for a Sunday trip to Ottawa for skating on the canal. In all of my memories Marcia is laughing. I remember her telling me about meeting Tom and how happy she was. My Condolences to Tom, Jordan and Stephen.
