Obituary of Lloyd Walker
On Wednesday, February 8, 2012, Lloyd S. Walker, in his 94th year at his Fergus Caressant Care Long Term Care residence, formerly of Clinton, Ont., and the Walton area.
Dear father of Dorothy Gow of Waterloo, Anne Stairs (George) of Ottawa and Alex (Carol-Joy Kaill) of Wolfville, N.S.
Mr. Walker was the grandfather of six, Bruce Gow & Patricia Hachman (Murray), Michael Mallais (Trudy) & Jacqueline Mallais, Eden Kaill Fenrick (Michael) & Colleen Hagen (Everett), great-grandfather of six and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife, Grace M. Walker (nee Stebbins) (Feb. 4, 1985); his parents, Howard and Elizabeth Walker of London, Ont.; and three sisters, Leona in infancy, Helen Hull and Betty Patrick, both of London.
Mr. Walker became a retiree of Bell Canada in 1974 after 35 years 3 months of employment, and was a veteran of WWII with his time being served overseas in Newfoundland.
Mr. Walker's family will receive friends and relatives at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Sunday, February 12 from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday, February 13 from 10-10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m., Monday with Rev. Bruce Thompson officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room with interment afterwards at Memory Gardens, Breslau.
