Obituary of Lloyd Hamel

Passed away at home, with family, on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in his 91st year. Beloved husband to Pat for 62 years, father of Randel (Nancy) Hamel of Waterloo, Terry (Bill) House of Waterdown, grandfather of Brett, Jaclyn (Ryan) and great-grandfather of Taylor. Brother to Eileen Neeb, Dolly (Don) Weaver and Honey Hoflinger. Predeceased by his sisters Ruth Marsland and Miriam Nichols and his brother Earl in infancy. Sonny worked as an upholsterer for many years and retired from the Waterloo Region Public School Board in maintenance. Friends are invited to share their memories of Sonny with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 3-6 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Calvary Memorial United Church, 91 Gruhn Street, Kitchener, on Saturday February 18 at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place. A reception will follow in the Kellerman Hall of the Church. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the St. Mary's Cardiac Care Centre, Dr. Ward and the many people who cared for Sonny through C.C.A.C.
