Obituary of Robert Leith

Beloved husband and life partner (in their 60th year of marriage) of Margaret Eleanor Leith (Wood). Passed away in his 94th year, on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Son of the late James and Helen Leith and brother of the late James Forbes Leith. Robert was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Kitchener, a retired machinist with the Toronto Hydro System. He was a returned veteran of the Second World War after 5 years of service in Britain and Europe with the Canadian Army, taking part in the liberation of Holland. Will be sadly missed by his two nieces Anne Leith of Manitoulin Island and Barbara Robinson and her husband John of Wyoming, Ontario. Also sadly missed by his many friends, especially Mary and Peter Thibault and their children Hannah and William. A Celebration of Robert's life will take place in the chapel of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 12 noon with Rev. Mark Lewis officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
