Wilfred Schnarr

Obituary of Wilfred Schnarr

"Boysey" "Boyce" A native of Waterloo, Ontario on Saturday, February 18, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ - far better. Wilfred was predeceased by his parents John Schnarr (1933) and Olive Freiburger (1973), infant brother Albert, and sisters Dorothy (James) Radtke, Florence Erdman, and Bernice Hergott. Wilfred is survived by a step son Jeff Milks of South Carolina, step daughter Elizabeth Drake of Florida, brother-in-law Carl Erdman of Waterloo, lifetime friends Harry and Vada Seeds of Embro, Lorne and Audrey Kramer of Waterloo, Jim Reiber of Florida, and by nieces, nephews and cousins. Boyce loved talking to others about Salvation through faith in Christ! He enjoyed Bible study, especially the Book of Revelation! John was an airplane pilot and a highly skilled motorcyclist, having been a competitive racer in his youth! He had a keen interest in anything mechanical and had spent many years in the USA! Boyce was indebted and grateful to many: To Carl Erdman for his kind hospitality over many years; To his nephew Dave and Janice Radtke and their daughter Alison of Cambridge, for all they have done for him and meant to him; To his nephew Wayne Erdman for being there through his trials; To Shelagh White and Jay Kalte of EPTCON Ltd. Cambridge for all their aid; To Ken Hoffman of Heildberg for spiritual encouragement; To his friends who prayed for him; To Community Care Access Services, and all the Red Cross workers, and to Dr. Sims and the other doctors and nurses at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, for all their compassionate care of Wilfred. Expressions of sympathy, donations to a hospital or charity of your choice would be appreciated! John didn't want a funeral service, but instead, would like for you to consider accepting the wonderful Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour as he once did. Nearly 40 years ago, John asked Christ to forgive him of his sins! Believing that Christ paid the penalty for his sins by dying on the cross, that Christ was buried, and that He arose again on the third day, and ascended into heaven, and that Christ will come again to rule and reign over all the earth, as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Wilfred's soul and spirit have gone to be with the Lord! He will be buried beside his parents in Mount Hope Cemetery, to await the resurrection of his body, at the Lord's coming for his believers. John will then be given a new glorified body, a body that will never again suffer nor feel the sting of death. Boysey wants you to end up in heaven! The Bible teaches that you can through faith in Christ alone! Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Ask Christ to forgive your sin, and save your soul. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). Enter into a personal relationship with Christ, and you'll have true peace, and begin to discover that he is altogether lovely, and you will enjoy him forever. Face to face with Christ, my Saviour, Face to face what will it be? When with rapture I behold Him, Jesus Christ who died for me! Only faintly now I see Him, With the darkling veil between; But a blessed day is coming, When His glory shall be seen. What rejoicing in His presence, When are banished grief and pain, When the crooked ways are straightened And the dark things shall be plain. Face to face O blissful moment! Face to face to see and know; Face to face with my Redeemer, Jesus Christ who loves me so. Face to face I shall behold Him, Far beyond the starry sky; Face to face, in all His glory, I shall see Him by and by! Carrie E.
