Lorne Dorscht

Obituary of Lorne Dorscht

We bid a fond "au revoir" to Lorne Eldon Dorscht, who left this earthly plain on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Born on March 10, 1950, Lorne was raised on a farm on Erbsville Road. For many years, Lorne worked in northern Alberta in the oil industry. Family was everything to Lorne and, over the years, he travelled across Canada to stay connected with siblings and extended family members scattered from coast to coast. Lorne's ever-ready sense of humour will be missed by the members of both his Dorscht and his Cramer families. 'Lorminator', we wish you Godspeed, as you enjoy euchre games, breathing easy, with heaven's other angels. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lorne during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S. Waterloo on Monday, February 27th, 2012, from 7 - 9 p.m. The Reverend Michael Hackbush, Chaplaincy Director at House of Friendship, will officiate at Lorne's funeral service on Tuesday, February 28th, 2012, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery. Lorne's family members invite you to partake of a light lunch and fellowship, following interment, in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, it was Lorne's wish that donations be made to the House of Friendship as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged through the funeral home www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445.
