Obituary of John Chircoski

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Pat Chircoski. Loving father of Karen McGough and Fran Chircoski (Guy Rowland). Grandfather of Christopher (Sandra) McGough, Ryan (Ania) Smith, Katie (Brian) Sousa, Becky Smith, Adam (Vicky) McGough. Great-grandfather of Connor, Marcus, Collin, Nicholas, Coen, and Hallie. Best friend of Pugsly and Gizmo. Predeceased by parents Nora (nee Newton) and Joseph Chircoski of Iroquois Falls. Survived by brothers Stan, Melvin, Ron, Larry, and sister Joyce Bown. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by sisters Edwina, Clare, and brother Norman. Pops was an avid sportsman with his greatest experience playing hockey with Gordie Howe, Terry Sawchuk, and Ted Lindsay. Also an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. Pops enjoyed spending many retirement years with Patsy in Florida. John's family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Adrian Lee officiating.
