Obituary of Anthony Slegers

SLEGERS, Anthony (Tony) of Waterloo passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the age of 51. Beloved husband and best friend of Kathleen (nee Gray). Devoted father of Theo and Liam. Beloved son of Harry and Anne Slegers of Strathroy. Dearly loved brother of Anne Marie (Michael), Cathy (Michael), Gary, Dan (Pat) and John (Cindy). Loved & respected son-in-law of David & Patricia Gray of Meaford and brother-in-law to Bill (Heather), Deb (Jean Marc), Rob (Annette),John (Anita), Jen (Shawn) and Matt (Donna). Treasured uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tony will be dearly missed by friends, close and far, neighbors and colleagues from his workplaces over the years. Predeceased by his niece Angela Martin. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Tony's life and faith will be held at the Lincoln Road Chapel, 145 Lincoln Rd., Waterloo on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jay Gurnett officiating. A time of fellowship will take place following the service at the Chapel.
