Obituary of Hilda Weiberg

Passed away, peacefully, at her home in Waterloo on Monday, March 19, 2012 at the age of 88. Loving mother of Wayne and wife Carol, Bruce and wife Diane, Sandra Voll and husband John, and Larry; grandmother of Scott, Andrew, Charlotte, Susan, Mary Beth, Michael, Crystal and 13 great-grandchildren. Hilda was loved by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Garnet Weiberg in 1987; parents, Louis and Clara (Miller) Rader; brothers, Lloyd, Elmer, Irvin, Elgin; and sisters, Violet Gamble, Amelia Prang, and Dorothy Taylor. Hilda was a very active, long-time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Waterloo, an honourary member of the Waterloo Horticultural Society, volunteered in seniors' programs at the Waterloo Adult Recreation Centre, and was a former welcomer with The Welcome Wagon. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Hilda with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, March 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John St. W., Waterloo on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 10 - 10:45 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Krestick officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in the fellowship hall at the church. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
