Dearest Paul, We are all so very sorry to have received your sad news that Barb has died. She was so loved by so many people, and we will remember her especially for her laughter, sense of fun and kindness. We have so many lovely memories of her and you both. Words of comfort are so hard to find, but we would like to send this message, which we have adapted from a poem, which we felt expressed what we would like to say: Barb will be with you forever, as a diamond's glint on snow; the sunlight on ripened grain; the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, she will be the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds circled in flight and the soft star that shines at night. We hope, that by knowing you, John, Lynn, Jen, Hilary and Eric are all in the hearts and thoughts of dear friends and relatives, helps give you strength and courage to endure this time of sorrow. Thinking of you, Mr. Van de Kamer, John, Jenny and families. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. May you enjoy sharing stories and memories of Mrs.Van de Kamer and may the mention of her name bring a smile to your faces. I have many happy childhood memories of your mom and your family. Brown Owl was always helpful and smiling and I enjoyed going to brownies every week because she made the meetings fun. I also remember Christmas eves at your home after the midnight church service. That was fun. I also remember always being welcomed into your home even if I arrived unannounced. There was often classical music playing and your mom would talk to me until you were ready to go. My memories are all happy and bring a smile to my face when I think of Mrs. Van de Kamer. Keeping your family in my prayers. Love , Lydia

So sorry to hear of Barb's passing but I'm sure she's already got all the angels in stitches with her stories! We had the privilege of going to our grandparent's cottage (Art and Lenore Grubbe) at Hope Bay and the Thanksgiving celebrations with Barb, Paul, John, Jenny and the grandkids. =) She was simply a delightful lady. My thoughts are with Paul and the kids.
