Obituary of Amanda Rehkopf

Passed away peacefully at her residence on April 8, 2012, in her 100th year. Loving mother of Warren (Judy), Earl (Barbara) and Dianne (Donald) Pond. Cherished Grammy of Bryan (Brenda), Pamela (Pat) Ormond, Bradley, Rick (Nancy), Dustin Hunt and Jayson (Tara) Hunt, Mark (Andrina), Heather (Steve) Holst-Sugrim, Holly-Anne (Chris) MacFarlane, Sheryl Pond, Steve (Patsy) Pond. Will be fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren, Jason, Corey, Adam, Leanna, Anthony, Noah, Rachael, Rhys, Elizabeth, Tesla, Wayson, Arielle and Piper and great-great-grandchildren, Vayden, Hayley, Taylor and Liam. Dear aunt to Russell Pfeffer, Godmother to Janice Norley, and a special friend to Ken Holst and her "other daughter" Kaye Farrell . Predeceased by her husband Arthur Rehkopf (1991), sister Martha Pfeffer, and parents John and Anna (nee Grein) Olbrecht. Amanda was a long-time member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Kitchener and enjoyed performing with the Merrie Melodies. Friends are invited to share their memories of Amanda with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. Waterloo on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens, Breslau. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, St. Mary's Hospital Foundation or charity of choice.
