Obituary of Patricia Williams
Passed away peacefully on April 12, 2012 at Terrace on the Square, Waterloo, at the age of 91. Pat retained her tenacious spirit until the end.
Cherished mother of Michael (Anne), Melanie (Alan) Campbell, Caroline (John Findlay), and James (Mark Donovan); loving grandmother of Evan (Amy) and Ryan, Megan and Fiona Campbell, Sarah and Christopher Chown, Kirsten and Sheree; and proud great grandmother to Owen. Also survived by much loved nieces, Janice, Kim and Lynn.
Predeceased by her husband Aneurin "Bill" Williams and siblings Una Elliot, James Neville and Carol Crombie and sister-in law Jean Crombie.
Pat was born in Dublin, Ireland and grew up in India, returning to England to complete school and a degree in Biology. She emigrated with her family to Ontario in 1957.
Pat was an avid artist, gardener, and traveler. She was a cofounder of the 404 Art Group and received a City of Waterloo volunteer award for her work. She greatly valued the support, encouragement, and fellowship of friends, including those in the art group and the "newcomers" lunch group, first formed when she arrived in Waterloo 22 years ago.
Friends are invited to share memories of Pat with her family during a memorial reception at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, in the Fireside Reception room, on Friday, April 27th from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, with presentations to begin at 2:30 pm.
Many thanks to all who provided excellent care to Pat including Dr. Denbeigh and staff, staff at Terrace on the Square, the Kitchener Waterloo Community Hospice and Palliative Care team, especially Dr. Keleher and Sheila Gallinger, Care partners team seven, especially Erin, Danielle, and Heather, Ginger Commission of CCAC, and Robertson and Brown Health Services especially Deb and Kim.
Following Pat's wishes, her body has been donated to medical science.
