Obituary of H. Louise Russell

Passed away after a brief illness, with family by her side at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on April 20, 2012 in her 85th year. Devoted Wife of Edward for over 57 years. Cherished mother of Rev. George (Karen), Dr. Thomas (Dr. Diane), Susan, Dr. Ian (Ana), Lt. Jeffrey, and grandmother of Sara, Isaac, Ashley, Adam and Andrew. Survived by her sister Ruby Murray and brother Ray. Predeceased by sisters Kathleen Cardwell, Jean Lawrence and brother Kenneth. Louise was born in Stratford, Ontario to the late Lewis and Hazel (Thistle) Cornish. She enjoyed time spent at the family cottage near Thornbury, Ontario, entertaining the grandchildren and was known for her love of gardening, quilting and bridge. Louise was an active member of First United Church, Waterloo. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Louise's life will be held at First United Church, 16 William Street W., Waterloo, on Sunday April 22, 2012 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Bill Steadman officiating. Immediately following the service friends are invited to a reception in Hilliard Hall at the church.
