Obituary of Henry Verbakel

Passed away suddenly at his home, on April 22, 2012 at the age of 64. Beloved husband and best friend of Donna (nee Pearcey) for 44 years. Loved father of Shawn (Esther) and Laura (Larry) Hanna. Cherished and proud Grandpa of Abby, Ryan and Meghan, and Noah and Reily Hanna. Dear brother of Ken (Verna), Anne (Wally) Van Niekerk, Josie Windsor, Rick (Patsy), Betsy (Dennis) Broughton, Cathy (Jim) Encil, John (Peggy), Frank (Linda), and his sister-in-law Brenda Verbakel. Henry will also be missed by his father-in-law Edward Pearcey, and Donna's siblings; Greg (Marilyn) Pearcey, Randy (Janis) Pearcey, Jim Burgess, Don (Val) Pearcey, and Susan Pearcey, as well as his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Henrica Verbakel, brother Bill, mother-in-law Phyllis Pearcey and sister-in-law Debbie Pearcey. Friends are invited to share their memories of Henry with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home's Fireside Reception Room. Cremation and a private family interment at Williamsburg Cemetery will take place at a later date.
