Obituary of Rebecca Miller
Of St. Jacobs, passed away peacefully in her 85th year, with family at her side, on April 22, 2012 at the Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Bloomingdale on July 19, 1927 to the late Irvin and Laurene Shantz.
Cherished mother of Paul Miller (Pauline) of St. Jacobs and Lynn Bell (Peter) of Cambridge. Rebecca will be missed dearly by her three grandchildren; Rob Duncan (Ally), Krissie O'Dell (Richard) and David Miller; her great grandchildren Charlie Duncan, Connor Duncan, and Boston O'Dell will miss their Nana.
She was looking forward to the birth of her first great granddaughter.
Rebecca is also survived by her siblings; Ken Shantz (Hazel), Dorothy Schwindt (Don), Willard Shantz (Jean), Eva Clark and Judy Bollenbach (Albert).
Also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law; Marg Shantz, Ruth Shantz, Stan & Connie Miller. She will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
She will be fondly thought of by Christopher, Tara & Edwin Bell, Matthew Bell (Monica), Daniel Bell (Sarah), Sabrina Paradis and Alexis Paradis Bell.
She will be missed by her friends in beautiful Dyer's Bay where she resided for many years.
Rebecca was predeceased by her loving husband Lyle, her parents Laurene and Irvin Shantz, brothers Earl & Lorne Shantz, sisters-in-law and brothers -in-law; Patricia Shantz, Glen Clark, Art Baker, Frank & Edith Roe, Clare & Joy Miller, niece Marion Miller and nephew Jim Miller.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Becky with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, Ontario on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service to celebrate Rebecca's life will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, 1407 King St. N, St Jacobs, Ontario on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Martin Giebel officiating.
Cremation to follow with interment at Fairmount Cemetery, Baden at a later date.
