Passed away, peacefully at A. R. Goudie Eventide Home in Kitchener, on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the age of 96.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, William (Bill) Dotzenroth in 1998. Loving mother of Bruce (Shirley) of Toronto, Susan of Ottawa, Doreen Budden (Bob) of Waterloo, and grandmother of Mathieu Dotzenroth (Heidi) of Ottawa and Jeff Kellar of Calgary. Survived by her brother-in-law, Norman Dotzenroth of Kitchener.
Predeceased by her brother, Raymond Woelfle and sisters, Adele Besserer and Bernice Katesk.
Dorothy was a Charter member of Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waterloo. For many years, Dorothy was a familiar face at Laura Secord in Waterloo Square. She was an avid gardener, bridge player, and loved to entertain friends and family in her home.
Dorothy's family will receive relatives and friends at Mount Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 29 Westmount Rd. S. (at Lourdes St.) Waterloo for visitation on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 1 - 2 p.m., followed by the funeral service in the church at 2 p.m. Rev. Krister Ulmanis officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in the church hall. A family committal service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery on Tuesday.
