Hello, It is a year since Paul died and I still miss him! Paul was a wonderful and kindly mentor to me while we shared time together on the Interim Pastoral Team at Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church in Kitchener. Paul had a great influence on my decision to go to seminary and prepare for the ministry. One of the things that I remember about him specifically was that he would arrive for church on Sunday morning, and rather than barricade himself in his office, he would be out and about, greeting and talking to people. He always said he wanted his work done before he came so that he would have time to visit with people. I have remembered and do the same! I hope he would approve! Paul was one of the key reasons that I went into the ministry. As leader of the interim pastoral team at Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, Kitchener, in the early 1990s, he was a powerful mentor and good friend to me. I keep the mug he made for me as a keepsake always. I will never forget him!

We will miss Paul very much. He was always an inspiration when we became a part of his life. We were in a small caring/sharing group with them at Wanner church. He became the new pastor at Wanner as we were beginning to attend there in 1981. He was a part of our church membership with us and 2 of our sons. So he will always have a special place in our hearts. Our sympathies are with you as a family. You lost a great mentor,but now have lots of memories. Marg and Jay Strom

We are very sorry to hear about your loss. From our family to yours, our most heartfelt sympathies. I have many great memories of the summer I worked at Glenbrook day camp and stayed with your mom and dad. Uncle Paul helped me to get my drivers license I believe it was in Aurora. As well one eve. we were by ourselves for supper and he barbecued steak, it was very good. I will miss him even though we have not spent a lot of time together over the past years.
