Obituary of Elaine Butchart
Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Leisureworld Care Giving Centre, Elmira on June 4, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. At the age of 77.
Dear mother of Susan Peters, Karen (Lloyd) Rorison and Catherine (John) Fischer. Lovingly remembered by her granddaughters Candace, Ashley, Alicia, and Chloe, great-granddaughter Jillian and great-grandson Noah. She will be sadly missed by her sister Barbara Manuel and brother Barry Frankham.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Bill and her parents Ethel and Fredrick Frankham.
At 18 Elaine left her family and moved to Kitchener for her first teaching position. She soon found her calling in teaching children with learning disabilities. She continued to further her own education and earned her Bachelor of Arts at Wilfred Laurier University after 10 years of part-time studying. Elaine enjoyed her dinners with "the girls" and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Elaine with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, June 8, at 11 a.m.
A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
Cremation and interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Breslau will take place at a later date.
