Happy Birthday Mom! I know your singing and dancing with joy on your special day and that gives me great comfort. I miss seeing and talking with you so very much. I know when I am thinking of you that you are here with me in my heart but I long to see your sweet smile of love in your eyes. I love you mom! Say hi to everyone and if it's allowed have them give you a big hug and kiss from me to you.

Through God's grace our mother had a happy life filled with abiding love unending. She endured her pain and waited patiently for the Lord to prepare a place for her. All who had the pleasure of knowing her spirit were blessed with an abundance of joy in her presence. She taught us that life is what you make it. I pray to God we remember this when we are facing struggles of our own, to stay strong in our faith and call out to Him when we need His love and grace. There are many words, gestures and emotions to describe how wonderful our mother was to all who knew her. She touched all who had the pleasure of meeting her in some big or small way and those memories will give them comfort. We are so very blessed that God chose His special child to be our mother. Throughout our mother's life God's grace and love abundantly surrounded her with many blessings too numerous to count. Remember the joy she had in her life, not the pain she had to endure. We love you Mom! Sing and dance with joy for all eternity with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. By the power of His Holy Spirit we'll see you again for all eternity.

As a child I never saw my Mother as disabled it's as if, this word CAN'T did not exist in her mind. So determined and strong she would complete any task from baking apple pie to countless loads of laundry using the old wringer washing machine. The magnitude of her disability did not dawn on me until I had become older. I asked myself with awe and wonder how she had raised ten children with such a patient and loving attitude.
She brought home this from the senior centre years ago. I posted it on her fridge as a gentle reminder to her children that our mother needed us now to remain as independent as possible all she needed was just a little help from her family and friends.
Here is the ABC's of being a friend:
Accepts you as you are.
Believes in "you".
Calls you just to say "Hi".
Doesnt give up on you.
Envisions the whole of you.
Forgives your mistakes.
Gives unconditionally.
Helps you.
Invites you over.
Just "be" with you.
Keeps tiy close at heart.
Loves you for who you are.
Maks a difference in your life.
Never judges.
Offers support.
Picks you up.
Quiets your fear.
Raises your spirits.
Says nice things about you.
Tells you truth when you need to hear it.
Understands you.
Values you.
Walks beside you.
X-plains things you don't understand.
Yells when you won't listen.
Zaps you back to reality.
To everyone who came into my mothers life, WOW thank you for being Millie's Wonderful family and friends.

There are few people in this world that you meet that truly have an impact on you, and I'm sure close to everyone sitting in this room right now can say that Millie was one of those people. One thing that was said to me recently is that she carried an aura about her, once you met her you felt the need to know her fully and completely. its hard to pinpoint one reason as to why, there was just something so special about her that left you wanting more. Kind humble and most of all strong are some of the many words you would use to describe her. She was many things sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother friend but most of all a women and by far one of the strongest i think anyone here today will ever meet in their lifetime. Today we come together to say goodbye to a person who has touched our lives in many ways. who in her strength has made us all stronger, in her love has given us the ability to love with all we have, in her kindness to remember to be kind when we feel the want to be mean to laugh at the silly things and to remember to hold the people you love close to your heart and cherish every moment in life. As we all sit here today remember all the joy she has brought to each and every one of us, smile for her as she is smiling down on each and every one of you. she will live on forever because everyone she has ever met in her life, she gave a little piece of herself for you to hold on too. everyone in this room knows that Millie will never be alone, do to all of her loved ones that are utterly grateful to have known a women that could change your life with her simple words of humble kindness. sister, mom, grandmother, great grandmother, friend you will be forever missed never forgotten and will continue to live through all of us, each and every day.

You are my sunshine on a cloudy day. Thoughts of you warm me and chase the blues away. I draw strength from you when life is hard to bare. You have taught me what it truly means to share, to show others in my lfe the values you've instilled in me through your loving care. Your strength and endurence taught me to never give up. Your compassionate, thoughtful, loving nature shined through your beautiful, loving eyes and warmed my soul. Remembering your smile fills my heart to overflowing. I will miss seeing you and talking with you but I will take comfort in knowing your heart and spirit my dear mother is strong and pure and will forever live on in me. Everyone I know who has had the pleasure of being in your company have been touched by you in a way that has brought sunshine to their life. 2nd. Timothy Chapter 1 verse 4 I long to see you again, for I remember your tears as we parted. And I will be filled with joy when we are together again. I love you Mom! Love, hugs and kisses from Wendy
